Wonderful concept but this app doesn’t have a clue how to identify plants. It has not properly identified any plants I have snapped or have on my camera already. Total waste of money.

I’m very disappointed I’ve tried it on plants I know and it’s not even close. 3.99 wasted!

Almost never gets it right. In the rare correct guess, funnels you to specific vendors on Amazon that do not have the plant in question

So let’s be clear. There are some bad reviews. Before you allow that to influence your mind remotely, do the math. The unsavory reviews are exactly the same, each of these represents a tiny fraction of users Getting clear. Horticulture and identification is a vast an ever-expanding endeavor. There are over three hundred and ninety thousand plant species and three hundred and sixty thousand of them flower. Every program runs into problems trying to identify plants. The most common is user error. You see most people feel that if the can snap pretty pictures they should get what they want. This app has the potential to make it effortless. I have used four other apps to find the name of a tree, not a single one came close. This one did it first try. Is there a two minute vid to explain? Yes. A tutorial? Yes. Do people skip them and assume it’s just taking pictures? Obviously. This lazy reviews are evident in their dismissiveness to how to actual operating the app correctly. Why else would they (pride broken) try to tell others to not get the app when so many users have no issues? If people were humble (he said the name of the review!), they would take the time to ask for help; they offer help constantly to users. I have used four other apps to find the name of a tree, not a single one came close. This one did it first try. Now for the fun part. Ever tried to start a business that can actually help the world be better and some lazy (insert profane adjective) tries to tear you down? Well some people would react to that with meaningless apologies to those would do their business harm. Not these guys and girls, the salt is strong with them. I love this app and everyone working on it. This app can actual make the world much better. Thank you again for the wonderful tool. Stay salty my friends, Joe

But is lacking in plants from arid lands. Or at least it misidentifies succulents and cacti more often than not. But I like it and hope to contribute to the identification process.

Not sure what to say. So far it has misidentified every single plant that I own and I know the names of 😒 4.29 just to get completely wrong info. Half were not even the right species 🤔
