  • The best map application I’ve found

    By ddrazen
This is my first “detailed” online review ever, for any product. The closest I’ve come is giving something a few stars, but never in detail. I’ve always been the end user of reviews, but this app is well worth the time to share. I’m a bit of a map fanboy. I’ve always loved them and currently have 7 map apps installed on my phone. I often wonder why, when I always end up using Gaia GPS. The interface takes a little bit of time to get used to, but the power of the tool is well worth it. I’m continuously finding new features of the app and I love all the different options. I haven’t found any other application that can do something Gaia can’t. I can’t recommend it enough, you will not be disappointed!
  • Extremely Useful, Full-Function GPS

    By Metrician88
Gaia GPS is the best! I use it for my work, which is guiding backcountry treks in South America. It’s usually difficult/impossible to find reliable printed maps for the places I guide, so Gaia has become my go-to source for international maps. The maps are detailed and accurate. I use it for all my personal trips in the U.S., too. It provides everything I need in a GPS.
  • Missing information in maps

    By bemarcopolo
Gaia topomaps do not show some lakes in the Sierras (eg Lake Margorie, although I was told that this particular example had been fixed after I posted this review) and contains inaccuracies (eg locations of camping areas in Paradise Valley in Kings Canyon NP). I recommend downloading USGS topomaps in addition to Gaia maps if you will be traveling offline.
  • Love the app but could use improvements

    By Rplopez13
I love the app. The only thing that drives me crazy is that you can’t customize u it’s of measure by what you are measuring. I really like having my units of measure for distance being metric, but would prefer to have my altitudes read in feet
  • This app is so sweet it shows all old sights and current as well love it to

    By Fien casino
2thumbs up on this one it keeps me up to date as well as takes me back in time all historical sights
  • Lost my menus

    By blweldy
I down loadedThis app because I left my GPS at home. It seems to be working well except now I have lost my Menus and cannot find how to restore them or how to reinstall the program without losing all the data I have already logged
  • Best by far...still

    By americasbeaches
This has been my backcountry navigation app for years in the Rockies. More and more friends of mine are using it now and although we all try other ones, this is still the gold standard for me. The ability to turn it on and see where I am on both the USGS 7.5 min map and a satellite image, with blending of the two images, is awesome! That is a Premium tool... well worth it. I use it for both on trail and off trail navigation and planning to find and get to high country meadow fishing spots. (Also, they finally got the detailed NOAA chart of upper Mobile Bay, where I boat, on the premium so now I’m using it more in my boat. Thanks)
  • Since update Facebook login not working on iOS

    By Soldinski
App worked really good but will not login with Facebook and try login with email and says server error or my email doesn’t exist fix these issues and will bump my rating back up to 5star
  • Jury is still out for me.

    By Mqnada
Not sure if this is going to work to supplement my handheld mapping GPS yet. I need t be able to download offline maps, which requires a subscription. Fine. But after committing to the $20, the app still says I need to sign up. Not cool.
  • One time, to every year

    By Santa Siever
Good luck with your subscription model. Pay a yearly subscription for what I already own...? Bait and switch is a kind way of putting it.
