Drive through Gettysburg and into history with Gettysburg Tours. Watch live action battle scenes that help you imagine real events on Gettysburg’s open fields. The Gettysburg Driving Tour App isn’t just a static map and pictures; it’s a fully immersive and interactive experience. You MUST allow the app to track your location for the GPS triggers to work properly. Press "Allow" when prompted after downloading the app. Your iPad or tablet must be cell data capable Or it must be a smart phone. WiFi only iPads will not work for the on-site gps tour. At each of the National Park Service’s 16 Auto Tour Stops you can: -Experience GPS triggered audio that plays automatically as you drive -Watch battle videos specific to your location -View custom maps -See historically accurate and realistic paintings -Get directions to the next stop You can zip through the park quickly by pausing at a limited number of key stops, or spend more time and experience all 16. It’s fun, flexible, and easy to use. The audio in the app will trigger and play as you drive by historic battle fields. Please note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

  • Not worth the savings

Anyone who says this tour is better than the CD tours sold in the visitor center gift shop haven’t actually driven through the park with those CDs. The quality is far superior with more information and a much better narrative of the three day battle. I recommend spending the extra money for a much better experience.
  • Does not support Spanish

Despite what the App Store says, this app does not support Spanish. A quote from their tech support, “Only the buttons are in Spanish and Portuguese. The tour is English only. If you want to see the buttons in Spanish or Portuguese you have to change your phone’s language to Spanish or Portuguese.” I’m not sure how anyone would consider this as supporting Spanish.

  • Save $20 and use this one

You can buy the $30 version from the gift shop OR you can buy this one and have money left for lunch. This app was great. The narration and embedded videos are awesome, and the gps function worked flawlessly. Our family of six had a great time learning history on the Gettysburg battlefield. Five stars.
  • Just what we needed

This was a fantastic app that took you on the audio tour of Gettysburg. It has a few videos too. Loved the GPS feature. Well worth the $!
  • No good

Doesn't work correctly with iphone 8's plus running iOS 12.1.4. Settings screen display is "overlapped" and locked, no changes can be made, and feature where app tracks you on the battlefield doesn't work. All in all, a waste of my money, & very disappointing. I recommend buying a guide book-they always work!!
  • Worth it!

Great app. This hits the highlights of the battlefield tour at Gettysburg. The family enjoyed the content. YouTube links and music were great. We will continue to use this tour with friends coming in from out of town. Make sure you allow locations always. Next, cell service can be a little spotty in such a rural area, but that is not the fault of the app. Turn on the app and head to the first stop. The map from the visitors center and this app made a enjoyable tour.
  • Just a little short of perfect.

It was rough to find out where to start. We ended up just doing the last 5 parts and giving up. Great idea, with a little more work, it’s a wonderful idea.
  • Money well spent

This app is a must for visiting Gettysburg
  • There's $10 I'll never get back

Tried using the app on our tour. Followed the instructions on how to use it, but the app never worked properly. Ended up using the auto tour CD from 30 years ago. At least that's reliable.
