    Love the long, in-depth articles!

    Quality content
  • Can’t easily delete account

    By AhmJustADude
There’s no way to know before creating an account what you get free (3 articles per week, I think) and what you have to pay a subscription for. I decided to just not use the service, but can’t find how to delete the account and had to email support (which wasn’t easy to find either). It could take up to 3 days to hear back.

My favorite Dallas cowboy writer left the Dallas Morning News and I found him here. Love it. Keep it up Bob.
  • It’s a $60/yr subscription, hidden behind a lot of work

    By placeboefct
Needed to get a number of screens deep, after creating an account, to find out it’s a $60/yr subscription to actually get more than 3 articles a month. This isn’t more valuable than any other paper subscription in the country. Subscribe to your local newspaper instead.
  • Great, insightful, data-backed writing

    By Trollbuddy
The Athletic has done a great job of combining thoughtful, well-written analyses with relevant data that makes these stories enjoyable to read with well-structured information.
  • Fluto’s Culinary Journeys

    By Wells Beach
Having believed Fluto’s best work at the Boston Globe was his sharing his culinary findings, he’s the readon I subscribe to The Athletic. So I’m thrilled he continues to share his culinary experiences, I love it! And his hockey writing is good too...😂
  • Don’t tell you it’s a PAID app

    By aksarge75
They don’t tell you it’s a PAID app until the last page of setting up the app — then you’re forced into a page letting you know you’re starting a “Free Week trial” after which you’ll be paying $5/month or something... I wanted to cancel but I couldn’t — there was NO WAY TO CANCEL! They forced me into this trial week... because a large % of people forget to cancel... absolutely crazy.
  • Thorough and insightful

It’s nice to see some off the beaten path stories for a change. The Athletic doesn’t just regurgitate what teams out as their story of the week.
