  • Vimeo is a rip-off

Why do I need to pay hundreds of dollars to use an app with my camera when it should already have those features built into the camera. Can’t use the camera with any other software so basically Vimeo is holding us hostage. We bought the hardware so you should supply us with the ability to actually use any software we choose.
  • Not useful for what I do

I broadcast via FB, YouTube & periscope - so I purchased this app/camera because it advertised multi streaming to all platforms. Which isn’t true. You either broadcast to FB alone or multi platforms together but you’ll need another phone/ipad up broadcast 1 or the other ugh! Periscope viewers who give hearts cannot give super hearts when I use Mevo to broadcast on Periscope- such a waste of $ for what I do
  • Connection takes a while

This camera is the best camera for streaming ever made. Very fun to use but the reason I gave a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star and not a five is because it takes me a long time to connect I have to constantly close and open the app like 3 or 4 times but other than that I would buy another one so far I have 2
  • Good app, but unreliable connection over wifi or BT

If I could reliably use this camera without requiring the expensive ethernet port hardware add-on, I would love it. Since I won’t buy that, it is just another semi-useful tool in my video recording arsenal.
  • As a blind user, this camera is perfect.

In my initial days of live streaming, I could never get a good shot of myself and would cut parts of my body from the video. With the wide angle lens of the MEVO, I am always in the video. Camera setup is user friendly for the blind and the App is very accessible. I always recommend it to sighted and blind people alike. Thanks a trillion, becaus I could not adequately live stream without it.
  • App update killed mine

Was hoping to use this to record some Christmas video but I hadn't used it since they updated the app. Turned it on today and it will not show any of my wireless connections. Truly a bummer.
  • Needs manual white balance

Honestly, I love the idea of the little device. The video quality is decent enough. It’s amazing how it tracks the speaker. It really is like a multi camera shoot in one box. I love it. However I can’t recommend it, unless you film in a studio with absolute control over the lighting. I bought this to use in my office where every location is a mix of daylight, florescent, and LED. Everyone looks like Oompa Loompas and I have to correct skin color in Adobe Premier. None of the white balance options work in my environment. Once Mevo adds a manual white balance option this review will be 5 stars.
  • Line in the audio from a sound board

The best way to go is to line in the audio from a board and do a mix bus send on the board to get the mix right. The mic on the camera sounds very distant. But I love the control and picture quality you have on the Mevo. We stream our church services on it. This is a great entry level way to achieve that, without dropping thousands in equipment. We love it.
  • The Sound

Is horrible when I go live! Nothing I do fixes it. Sound goes in and out and frankly my iPhone does a better job at Live. Now I am out $700.
  • Do not buy Mevo until they fix connection

I’ve been working with Mevo since day one about multiple devices. Most recently my Mevo and my Mevo plus will not connect after I get the screen which says firmware update. I usually do big Livestreams so I use a connected ethernet cable. through testing I’ve found out the update is creating a problem with the connection. I Mevo should allow us to record without having to update that would be perfect. I also use other RTMP services but would love to keep using the Mevo please help
