Pokémon GO has now introduced the Trainer Battles feature. Enjoy one-on-one Pokémon battles with other Trainers nearby, or practice battling against team leaders Spark, Candela, and Blanche! Trainers can earn rewards for participating in battle and show off exciting Pokémon skills in one of three different Trainer Battle Leagues. Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. Pokémon GO is the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded over 850 million times and named "Best Mobile Game" by The Game Developers Choice Awards and "Best App of the Year" by TechCrunch. Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered! Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away! Search far and wide for Pokémon and items Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops and Gyms—found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments—to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items. Catching, hatching, evolving, and more As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger. Compete in epic Gym battles You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side. As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers. Team up to defeat powerful Raid Bosses A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with up to 20 other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. If you succeed in defeating it in battle, you’ll have the chance to catch an extra powerful Pokémon of your own! It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await! • 50 coin cap

    By anon1234521
This game would be fun other than the 50 coin cap. My Gyrados has been in a gym for nearly 24 hours now, defending it against 6 attacks without being defeated. Yet when it returns to me I’ll get the same amount of coins as if it had only been there for a little over 8 hours? I don’t think that this is fair, as it completely destroys my motivation to place my Pokémon in gyms. Please raise the daily cap limit or get rid of it altogether.

Love Pokémon GO! I’ve been playing pretty much everyday. Unfortunately after the latest update it can’t find my GPS so haven’t been able to do anything. Hope this gets fixed soon :)
  • Keeps getting better

    1. The fact I don’t have to have my game open to log in my walking. I walk a lot at work and have hatched 5 eggs this week just at work. 2. Trainer battles?! Love it. A lot of my friends don’t play much anymore but I still love it
  • Fix the game

    By J_spilledtheink
Can’t access the game since the last so called update. The game redirects me to the App Store to download an update that’s not there. Please fix this!!! It’s been 2 days

I love this app, but the new battle ability is not working for me. When I try to make it work, the vs screen is just stuck there, and it doesn’t go through to the battle. 😭 Edit: I think I get it now. I have a kids account so I’m excluded.Great. I wanted to play the new vs feature and whatnot but nope. Thanks so much for that. Someone needs to fix this because it’s really not fair. Kids want to be involved in battles and other things. Like, come on. That’s common sense. I’ve seen other comments like this talking about how their kids are being restricted from features and it’s making them sad. Please fix this.
  • Significant, Undisclosed Limits on Kids’ Accounts

    By afbasile
The App Store page for this app does not disclose that the publisher blocks access to many of the most popular features to accounts registered to children under age 13. Such popular features include: - Pokemon trading - Friendships with other players (Trainers), and related in-game benefits (Lucky Pokemon, 7-km eggs featuring special Pokémon, gift exchanges with friends, etc.) - New Trainer Battles (no player vs. player when you can’t make friends in-app...) - Sponsored Poke Gyms (often home to special activities such as EX Raids) The publisher offers no way for parents to opt-in to these features on behalf of their children (or themselves, when using their kids’ accounts). Niantic Kids was announced over the summer as a way for parents to manage accounts. That feature is apparently only available to new registrants, isn’t available to existing account holders, and doesn’t include the opt-in feature that users are asking for. Meanwhile, children’s accounts can easily make in-app purchases without obtaining parental consent. The unfortunate result is that children and their parents who truthfully disclose their actual dates of birth when opening their accounts are penalized, and the app creates an incentive for parents to encourage their kids to lie about their age.

Needs to have more Pokémon in smaller town settings. Where I live there aren’t many varieties of Pokémon it’s always the same few basic ones
  • Battles

Why does the trainer battle need to be best friends or higher? It makes the system kinda redundant. It should contributed to helping your friend ship level rise with the other player. It kinda goes against everything Pokemon Is ya know?
