Good game ruined by terrible and greedy developers and lack of content and bad pvp

Story updates have slowed down to a crawl and it seems like all of the dev time is now spent making new ways to get whatever money they can out of players’ wallets. This game is not worth anyone’s time at the moment and it honestly feels like the devs are trying for one last cash grab before shutting it down.

TL;DR KHUx has become a cash grab and blatant gambling simulator. F2P players are heavily disadvantaged, and even whales are being treated disgracefully. ———— Recently, Square Enix released a new avatar board. It costs $600 to fully complete (90k jewels) and contains boosters to further enhance the strength of your medals that last until the end of the month (10 days after release). Enough said. If you’d like to know more on why this game is not worth your time, by all means, read on. ———— You’ll have decent fun with the game for the first few hours. Then you realise the nonexistent story, repetitive quests and gameplay. Once you’ve finished the main story quests, you’ll realise your jewel income takes a major hit, and find that you’ll have no free resources left to spend on those new and flashy medals. This wouldn’t be a problem in any other decent gacha game... if the rates weren’t utter garbage and they didn’t bombard players with a constant stream of new medals to pull for. The average F2P player will earn around 17-20k free jewels a month. Enough to guarantee a medal that has a 5 pull mercy and then some. However, the game throws medal after medal, banner after banner at the players. Practically begging players for more money. Then they throw us the most ridiculous curveballs and release game breaking medals one after another. Then they release PvP, 7 Star medals - a system further separating F2P players from the whales. Even players who dish out 15$ a week to support the game (VIP players) won’t have enough power to compete at the highest level in PvP, let alone keep up with the constant stream of banners. Oh and did I mention ranking high in PvP is the one and only way to get 7 star upgrade materials to further strengthen your medals? Come on SENA. Furthermore, the most insulting part of all this is that the content is a joke. Outside of PvP and the coliseum modes, the constant draught of any decently challenging and meaningful content makes pulling for these shiny new medals practically useless. By releasing overpowered medals that basically requires the players to throw away hundreds or even thousands of dollars, the developers realised that they needed to make content that was suitable for both the whales and F2P players. Their solution to the issue was to release easy, low effort content. A slap in the face to even the whales.
  • Pay to Win

If you want to be competitive and kill monsters with best gears (medals) make sure you pay close to $60 every month. Square Enix don’t give a crap about players but money. I only rated 5 star so that this review appears in top for all to see. Avoid the game and don’t pay to win. Free to player will always lose in this game. Quit while you can. And graphics aren’t the best. Just wait for KH3.

I am an obsessed kingdom hearts fan and this game is the biggest disgrace to the franchise EVER. I remember being so excited about a mobile KH game and now I wish we never got one. This game is only here to make money and the majority of the “content” is about spending your money for medals that you’ll barely use because there’s NO REAL CONTENT. Anytime we do get content, it’s ridiculously hard and only those that pay REAL money to gain boosters can beat it. DONT PLAY THIS GARBAGE. Fix your stupid game, SENA.

I’ve been playing everyday since launch. I hate this game more than I’ve loved it. And it was really good, up until about the last year. There is absolutely no balance. The game caters to the players with infinite money to burn and makes them stronger and stronger while the other 95% of players struggle to even maintain a rank below 10,000. 80% of the content is behind a paywall. If you do not pay $15 a week, do not expect to get even remotely high in the rankings or be able to beat most of the “expert” quests. I am leaving this 1 one star review to join in the movement with the rest of the veteran players in hopes that SENA will listen and balance the game and stop feeding the whales!! If you are reading this, you are part of the resistance. Light a candle in your window to the west end.
  • So much potential but Fallen to the Hearts of Greed

The game was full of adventure, guests, and opportunities to make the game what you wanted. The game now craves to an apparent invisible crowd of new players and people who devote hundreds of dollars a week to get BASIC pulls in the game. I've invested years playing this game as Kingdom Hearts is a big love of mine and it's been fun connecting with people to enjoy the gaming experience. All of that is gone especially after this new VIP Coins BS. $800 to get boost and perks only whales can afford. By the time you naturally build up jewels in the game the medals you want are now gone and it's continuous circle of missing crap to get more crap. You had such a strong Mid ground of fans that wants you to succeed. Pity what the game has come to.

Long story short. In place of actually content we get more banners, you need these banners (5 pulls or $100) to compete now that PvP is required to evolve medals, new primes every week (you’ll need to pull them for pvp or for HSC), and now we have VIP boards that cost around $800 to complete which contain boosters that give competitive advantage in PvP for P2W players over F2P. I can’t assure you, you probably don’t have the amount of money set aside for “fun” to actually enjoy or make progress in this game.

Started off great, has really gone downhill. Gap between f2p and whales is massive now, and unless you plan to spend money, you’re going to struggle. Having purchasable content is fine until that content changes the playability of the game, in my book, and that’s what’s happened.
