  • Leaves a lot to be desired!

I didn’t write a review just after I got this like all apps want you to I waited over year. Funimation has a lot to chose from but a lot of the shows are missing whole seasons as well as episodes. Here’s one example, the show “ Sacred Blacksmith” was one of the first I watched when I got this app over a year ago the show was missing season 2 and still hasn’t gotten it yet! There are others that are missing episodes and seasons too. One of the things that bugs me the most is the glitches when you try and scroll through the shows.... you move your finger to scroll and it jumps to a different place. I’ve done everything I can think of to fix it and nothing works not even opening a ticket in help they just ignore it!... I pay for this and expect them to help a customer but evidently that’s asking to much? Save yourself the aggravation and just get Hulu or Netflix they don’t have as much to choose from but when you watch a program it’ll have all the seasons and episodes that alone makes it worth it to me…

The app for the phone is trash. I have a premium account yet it keeps making me watch ads and the ads last forever I haven’t even been able to watch a single show yet because the ads just keep playing 🚮🚮

I love Funimation! The app works great! Some small bugs here and there!i think the price is very fair too! Keep them dubs coming!
  • It’s a great app, just a tiny problem with the ads

Overall the app is great I have had no problems what so ever but the adds start to get really annoying for me because there are rarely any new types of ads so there are pretty much most of the same ads over and over again, besides the whole ad thing, this app is amazing
  • Can’t Cast from iPhone

Gonna have to rate this app a big fail. I was already miffed that they split from the great Crunchyroll app. Decided to give Funimation the benefit of the doubt and use their app. It can’t even cast to my TV. The cast option simply does not appear on this app, though I can do it no problem from VRV, Crunchyroll, YouTube, you name it. I followed every troubleshooting step outlined on their website. I also noticed that their “FunimationNow Chronecast Support Thread” it is riddled with people experiencing the same issue, and not one person there with an open ticket has been contacted by Support. So I guess I just won’t be watching any shows hosted solely on Funimation. Oh well.

This my have been the buggiest anime app I ever used with poor support for it. I would recommend using Crunchyroll or this anytime.

So when you get on and watch anime a lot of them are subscriptions but if you try to do the free trial it still doesn’t work even tho it says you are using it. I would not recommend getting this, also it can be glitchy
  • Lags often

I’m not totally sure if it’s my WiFi or not, but in the midst of me watching an anime, the anime would freeze or the sound would need to catch up. This has been happening pretty often but nevertheless still think this is a decent streaming app.
  • Great but App to glitchy

Everything thing is fine when it comes to watching shows but when it comes to browsing and scrolling it’s not that great. It’s glitchy and it annoys me because I can’t scroll to the side with out the app jumping back to the position I was before. If this were fixed and skipping intros was an option as well it would be a perfect 5 star.
