  • Fix the Other Income bug

    There is a known issue with editing Other Income, that’s been going on for over a week. I would expect a sooner resolution. Is there an ETA?

    It is on ongoing issue. Whoever you learned syncing from.... get someone else. You have the same issues as you had with the old version(FB classic). I deleted the app and use the desktop version on my iPhone as the issues are just too annoying.

  • This app is the WORST

    I don’t think it’s possible for me to be more disappointed with this app than I have been for the past 2 years. I truly wish I could give it 0 stars. The only reason I still have a subscription is because I can rely on the website version, but I think it’s time to move on. Why? Well... 1) The time tracker NEVER syncs with the website. I use the chrome extension or website to start a time entry, and there’s zero hope in updating it from my phone. If I forget to stop the clock before I leave from work, I can guarantee the tracker on my phone says some absurdly large amount of hours from the last time I started an entry ON MY PHONE. So, I can just edit it, right? Wrong. I wish. Any attempt freezes and crashes the app. When I reopen it, the timer is still running and there’s nothing to do about it but watch it climb into the hundreds of hours with each opening of the app. 2) Invoices also sync maybe one time a month. I got the urge to write this review after just trying to view my next due invoice, and finding that none of the payments I’ve added from the past 2 weeks have saved. Also, none of the data for invoices I’ve newly listed sent or changed the status of within the past month is there. It’s on the website though! Which I suppose is helpful in some very minimal way... 3) I can’t create a new invoice in the app. WHICH IS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE APP. It freezes and crashes if I try to edit an entry. It also is worthless since all of the time entries I could possibly add are the result of a defunct time tracker. Do I want to add an entry of 357 hours that I started and can’t stop? Even though I’ve been starting and stopping dozens of entries from the desktop since then? No. 4) Updating the status of an invoice (such as adding a payment or whether or not it’s been sent) is also hopeless. I can change as much as I want, close the app, and the data is simply gone. Upon re-opening the app or viewing on desktop, it’s like I never entered anything in. These are the only things I need to rely on this app for, which are pretty simple, and it’s absolutely hopeless. A waste of time. I don’t know why I even have it on my phone anymore because it’s just infuriating to try and use (especially with every “update”). I’m definitely shopping for new app options because this one feels like an abandoned and neglected product. Way to keep it fresh!

    But anyway we can get it to stop going all the way back to the top when deleting expenses on a phone? Super aggravating. Also converting estimates to invoices causes it to crash on my iPhone at least. Also would be very helpful if we got some other kind of notification when expenses are not being imported.

    I’ve loved FreshBooks since I made the switch. It’s been incredibly convenient to knock out fast detailed invoices to clients on the run. The iPhone app has made this very easy. I operate a notary service in San Diego, Ca. I work with attorneys and businesses around the city. My clients appreciate the professionalism and convenience of being able to pay online through multiple payment options. Freshbooks has automated and simplified my bookkeeping. I’ve used it for several years and cannot imagine switching back. Thankful for the hard work and commitment of The FreshBooks team to produce such a great product! On another note, thanks for your newsletter with tips for small businesses. Those are awesome!
