This app is an UNOFFICIAL fanfiction Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) site. I created it because I am a fan of fanfiction, and I wanted to help people access the stories they love. No subscription is needed to use this app. Downloading and using this app is not a substitute for getting an Invitation to post stories on AO3; nobody needs an Invitation to read stories on AO3, or give kudos. Archive Of Our Own is created, hosted and maintained by a team of volunteers, and they do not ask anyone to pay to share or read stories on the site. If you are kind enough to give me a "tip" that money goes to me, not to The Organization for Transformative Works or AO3. Thank you for using Unofficial fanfiction Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) site! Search your favorite fanfics by multiple tags, exclude tags, search by fandom, fanfic title, author, characters and other options; read fanfics right from the app with no need to open them in separate reader app, download the best fanfics for later offline access. Log in to AO3 to access your bookmarks (favorite bookmarked fanfics), check your History, leave kudos (likes) and view and leave comments for the fanfics. Night Reading Mode: switch to day/night theme by using icon on Navigation Bar while reading the fan fiction story. Fullscreen mode: tap in the centre of the screen while reading the fanfic to enter full screen, tap again to go back to normal view. When you launch the app, it shows list of fanfics from AO3 main page. To filter results use Search option. To view fanfic, click on the item with its description. Then you will be taken to the fics details page which show all the information including author name, title, number of chapters, kudos, comments, views and other info about the story (fandom, characters, relationships etc). As AO3 doesn’t have any API, so issues do occur. Thanks for understanding. The application includes Auto-Renewable Subscription (Prosub). Once you have purchased it, the subscription starts. Since then every week you will get digitally generated recommendations of fan fics (fan fiction works). Subscription length is 1 month and it its auto-renewable. The subscription price is 0.99$ per month. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Privacy Policy and Terms of Use link: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication. cryptocurrecy coin

  • Helpful, but could be improved

I’ve been using this for quite a while, and it’s been pretty good so far, as I got tired of having to keep a bunch of tabs open on safari when reading multiple stories/waiting for updates, and this was a great solution to that. The biggest issue right now is that as of now, it seems that it’s /required/ to have WiFi or data in order to use the app. Last year, this app was my saving grace when I went out of the country to visit family and had to go without WiFi or data for three weeks. I was able to use the app and read all the stories I had downloaded prior to leaving the country without a problem, and it was great. Now, however, I can’t even open the app without a connection. I’m worried this is still going to be a problem when I leave the country again, because if I can’t even open the app then I might as well make google docs of the fics and read there. The thing is, that’s arduous and annoying, and I actually like using the app. So just a suggestion: could you guys somehow fix this issue, and make it work out somewhat like wattpad, where you don’t need to login and connect to WiFi/data each time you use the app? It would make the app much easier to access. Thank you for your efforts in continuing to look for ways to improve and make our experiences while using the app as accommodating as possible!
  • overall great but...

i love this app and it functions very well, but it’s kind of annoying that every time you exit the app, it takes you back to the browse screen
  • great app! few suggestions, though

i looked for “ao3” on the app store & didn’t expect anything hnshhsgshs but i found this and uh. it’s so good??? the filtering stuff are even better than legit ao3? the downloading feature is amazing? overall 10/10. there are a few extra stuff that would be nice to have, but they’re not necessary per se: - there is a feature for selecting which warnings you want to see but no feature for excluding certain warnings. that’d be wonderful to have! -a feature that allows you to see only multi-chapter fics, regardless of whether they are complete or not, or a way to, like, choose from x number of chapters to y number of chapters. this isn’t really necessary with the word limit feature in place, but it’d be nice to have! that’s it! i love this app, and would love to see it grow more than it already has :)
  • Incredible and Best Thing Ever

The first time I began using the app it was easy to use and very self explanatory. I don’t know if I have any criticism that I have to share but in overall rating , this should be the official app of AO3 it’s just that good.

the app is absolutely amazing, I love it!! I just think we should get more downloads instead of just 50
  • It’s a Good App However

After getting some use to I started to really like this app cause it’s somewhat easier to use than with the Safari with finding certain stories and saving them for later when I want to read them. But having to lose my spot in the story and having the app restart itself as I go back to it after leaving it is kinda of annoying. Whenever you can, if you could fix that I would happy to continue on using it in the future. Thanks. 😁

  • Great but needs a small fix

    By almfencing
I love this app. It's easy to use and I like the format. Most of my issues with it are with the search function or the rating system, which are annoying, but it doesn't really stop my enjoyment of the app. (Although I do have to ask why are fics rated M on AO3 rated NC-17 on the app and fics rated E on AO3 rated R on the app when NC-17 is considered worse than R when rating movies? It took me longer than it should have to figure that out.) But my main concern right now is that with the latest update, whenever I try to mark a fic as read or refresh the page, the app crashes. If you could please fix that, I'd be so grateful. Thanks for reading!
  • ...nothing is loading. at all.

I just downloaded the app, and synced it to my account.... nothing is loading at all. i’m super confused. I have two works on Archive and none of them are coming up. my history, bookmarks, mark for later, anything.... i don’t know if you need to come out with an update. i’m not going to be quick to make a bad review, i really want this app to work.
