  • Too many scam bots

    By dspwadge
Needed a roommate and someone told me to try this app. Signed up, easy. Immediately started getting messages. Couldn’t read them because I wasn’t a “paid member”. So I paid and immediately realized it’s majorly scam bots requesting I contact them personally or when I did, pulled the “I’m out of town, but my lawyer will handle everything line.” Stay away.
  • Fix your lousy app

App struggle to load up... crashes frequently, you can't filter or search for anything Horrible App And it's false app advertising which states" verified listings" there is a legal side to fake/false advertising
  • Scam

They let you go through the whole process of posting your room, but once someone messages you, they tell you that you have to pay $8 per week.
  • Free app but to use it you need to pay

    By Ozanne123
It’s great for looking and daydreaming. But if you actually need to contact someone or do anything you have to pay. Garbage.
  • Started off good a year later its just scammers

Didn't run into many scams a year ago but now its almost constant. It definitely depends on your area, I'm in San Diego so lots of out of state people try to get people to wire money. I gave one star because most of their biz should come from the major cities, so this should be their focus and they let an app breaking mistake infect the security of the app, usually you can tell, but some are pretty clever, its mainly just a waste of time, for a paid service, there should be 0 to .01% of users are fraudulent. Don't waste your time and money if you're in the city. Craigslist actually works better.
  • $45 a month or it doesn’t work

First time I have such a bad experience with apps so I even decided to write a review. First. There is an in-app purchase subscription . Without it you cannot message others or see what they messaged you which is probably not so bad because when you purchase it you receive millions and millions fake apt ads with a copy to your email. Also the biggest number of real apartment are in NJ, probably if your plan is to live there to save some money this app is for you. I mean you will live in NJ but it is still overpriced . Good luck to you and also to me. Let’s find another way to match with good spots/roommates
  • A few months, lots of scams! Zero stars

    By ksightz
I paid for a few months and constantly got people who had to leave the state and wanted me to drive by the outside of the property with no real pictures. They were typically saying they moved to Ohio or some BS town. Always wanted my SSN and a deposit immediately via PayPal or Walmart transfer. Stick with Craigslist or Zillow. Zero stars! If I could report them to ban the app I would.
  • Total Scam!!

This app is a scam. They let you install the app for free. I listed the property, took the pictures, and described my property the best as possible. At this point, I did not purchase their premium package. Few days after, I received a message from a “lead”. In other to be able to read the message, I had to pay the premium account which is $8 per week. So, I did pay. The lead did not reply my message and the question was kind of random, and the profile picture as well. I waited few days, and nothing. No more leads. Thus, I canceled the weekly subscription. Few hours the same day I canceled, it came another message from a new “lead” supposedly. I paid again for another week, and there were 3 leads. I wrote them back. One of them replied me, that she was not ready to rent, and the other 2 did not reply. I waited 5 more days, and no leads. I canceled the weekly subscription, and the same day again that I canceled the subscription, I received another message from a new “lead”. It is so clearly that this app is not serious at all! They send you false leads in other to have you paying the monthly subscription. Shame on them!!!
  • Great idea!

There is nothing more to say except the fact that Roomster works wonderfully well. Great idea!
  • Really poorly designed app

    By High standards developer
This app is really poorly designed. The UI concepts they use (such as cards) are not explained well. I really only got messages when I did not have a subscription. The time I did have a subscription I got maybe 2 people trying to connect with me. Also, it costs money to talk with people as a lister. Every time I open the app it makes me log in. The only other app that makes me do this is the Texas Gas Service app, which is a trash app that’s just a web view in an app. If you look up how to hide or delete your listings in their FAQ, the instructions literally say “Hide or delete your listings” That’s it. I had no problems canceling my subscription though. But this is the beauty of apple managing subscriptions. Really roomster has no ability to stop you thanks to it being an in app subscription. There’s nowhere in the actual roomster app where you can cancel the subscription. You have to do it though apple’s subscription interface. Apparently I need to delete my whole account to delete my listing, so that’s what I’m gonna do.
