  • Slows managed devices

Any device managed by circle seems to slow internet access. Unmanaged devices work fine. This makes sense as traffic for managed devices has to be reviewed first. I would think they could do it with better performance. I connected the circle device via network cable. I noticed it comes with 100 Mb port and not 1Gb. Also, the iPad app is the same as the iPhone app. App is simple and easy. iPhone layout is fine. iPad layout could be better. It is the same as the iPhone. Not comfortable for iPad. I should be able to rotate.

Circle is really dumb and it’s just a way to make kids feel annoyed. If you really want your kids to not watch too much internet talk with them and give them a chance. DO NOT GET CIRCLE. Circle is too annoying and if you delete it, you won’t get it back unless you have your phone number. If you changed your phone number, it’s a problem. It’s just a way to make kids feel bad and make them feel like they need restrictions. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Okay, the MyCircle is a decent way to track internet usage, but the pressure it puts on your relationships with kids is too much. When I was little, Disney meant Disneyland, Princesses, and fun nights out with family watching an old classic on the big screen. Nowadays, it means my kids yelling at me to add more time and getting angry over not being able to text friends. Overall, Circle is a good idea, but the execution could be better. Maybe try adding a way for kids to earn “tokens” by spending time off screens. “Tokens” could be used to have certain Disney characters appear, or, with parents’ permission, be able to get more time.

We have primary and backup routers in our house for redundancy. Sadly it only supports one router. Plus really hard to enable. Had to restart the app many times
  • Could be way stronger

I’ve been using the circle app at home and the go version for my son’s cell phone. I am considering canceling service and finding something stronger. First, often their time is up when they haven’t had access to their devices. Things running in the background or things I can’t figure out are using up time. Also, I can’t shut down apps on the phone either. It’s helping monitor use time but beyond that it’s kind of a pain.

In order to get the automatic features like ‘pause internet access at bedtime’, you MUST subscribe to get it. Funny, that’s not mentioned in any of the text until you download the app. At this time, there’s only 3 features for Basic use — none are very convenient or useful. Sure, you can pause the access, but it’s a manual operation and you have to remember to undo the pause next morning. When Netgear said they’ve partnered with Disney, they made it sound like this was a feature built in to my router at no extra cost. Some partnership. Just another way to get consumers to part with their cash. Very disappointed in Netgear and Disney.

Don’t waste your money, this app/device does not work consistently. There is no way to get support either. I’m very disappointed in Disney. I pay extra for the go App. I’ll be asking for a refund.

App is great!! Contacting the company to get something changed, ie.; phone number because I switched to a different phone and new number is like trying to get a tooth out of a Great White!! All I want to do is sign back up with circle on my new phone and number... But, I guess this company does not need the money, because you can't talk to anyone. Nuts!!! So, I monthly $$$$$$$ for you!!

Comrades, This app is doubleplusgood! It allows Inner Party Officials to monitor their subordinates for any signs of thoughtcrime! I cannot recommend this app enough! It makes it easier than ever to eliminate independent thought! The Party will install one in all of our buildings! Big Brother approves! And always remember: WAR IS PEACE FREEDOM IS SLAVERY IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH -Comrade O’Brien
