  • Trans exclusivity

Hello person reading this; Are you looking to track your ovulation, periods and moods? Are you anything other than a cis woman? Sorry bud, this app isn’t for you. Every sentence, every line always calls you a “girl”, using exclusively she/her/hers pronouns without giving you the option to change them. Many people find this app incredibly dysphoria inducing, to the point where we stop using it. Either Eve needs to change their structure around gender or they’re going to lose a lot of users.

I find the gems and the suggestions trite and annoying, & I’m not interested in the community. If there was a way to turn all of that off that would be nice. I would rather a simple tracker.

I’ve been using Eve since January of 2016. This app has helped me learn so much about my body and my cycle! Thanks, Eve for a safe place to track my personal details.
  • Some bugs

I overall really like this app but there’s this bug where comments won’t show up on a post. This has been happening more and more recently, to the point where I have to go to my activity and click the comment notification to see the comments on my own posts! I can’t even access them from my profile.

I wish I could log my symptoms and sexual information a day or two after the fact. I use this as a way to prevent pregnancy and when it’s late I don’t always get on to log information but would love to be able to the next morning.

  • Good for tracking periods, but way too heteronormative

    By 🙄Spooky🙄
I’ve been using this app for a few years now. It’s good for keeping track of your period, and has a very modern and visually appealing interface. My biggest complaint is how ridiculously heteronormative this app is. A lot of the quizzes, free gems, and even cycle facts and the general tone of this app tend to be directed more towards straight cisgender women, heterosexual relationships and problems, etc. I’m rather romance repulsed and not the most comfortable with my identity. Seeing this stuff makes me dread having to open this app. I’m bombarded with it right as I come on to track my period. Some kind of option to turn off the gems and the specific vocabulary like that would be nice. I know I’m not a part of the majority when I say all of this, but I know I can’t be the only one.
